As a part of the NFL Way to Play Awards fueled by Gatorade, the NFL is recognizing one NFL FLAG player age 8-17 each week for demonstrating proper playing technique.
Developing proper playing technique and good habits at the NFL FLAG level prepares players to excel in flag or make the transition to tackle. Players are evaluated on flag pulling, rushing, footwork, discipline and vision.
My experience with flag football has been amazingly positive. I have seen flag football change lives for scholar athletes. It offers diversity in life and builds character.
